23. Nick Chubb – RB – Georgia Bulldogs

As a freshman in 2014, Chubb flashed his great potenial with 1,547 rushing yards and 14 TDs. Of course, he was able to do that because future NFL Pro Bowler Todd Gurley tore his ACL. Before the injury, Gurley also served a four-game suspension due to an NCAA violation and Chubb proved that he could handle the pressure of stepping up, capping off the season with 266 rushing yards and two TDs against Louisville in the Belk Bowl. His outstanding season won him the SEC Freshman of the Year award.

The following season started well, but ended in disaster for Chubb. He began the year as a Heisman hopeful by rushing for 747 yards and seven TDs over his first six games. Unfortunately, a season-ending knee injury ended his 2015 campaign the following week. Needless to say, this season will provide another chance for Chubb prove himself.

Chubb’s rehabilitation clearly went well and he started against North Carolina in Week 1. His 222 rushing yards and two TDs proved he’s officially returned to his previous form. If he keeps it up, Chubb will be a Heisman candidate once again. He is also a strong candidate to be an NFL first-round pick, but that’s dependent on how his 2016 season goes.

Gurley is already an NFL star and will most likely appear on a Madden cover soon — perhaps as early as Madden NFL 18. Some people believe  Chubb may be even better than his predecessor. If that holds true, then he has a great chance to appear on the cover as well.
