25. San Antonio Spurs

This has to be the easiest job in all of sports: San Antonio Spurs fan. Since Tim Duncan was drafted, the Spurs have never missed the playoffs and have won 50 games almost every year. The Duncan-Parker-Ginobili era has been one of the most successful in sports history.

Now that Duncan is retiring, what do the Spurs do? They rebuild around Kawhi Leonard, who is turning into one of the league’s best players, and LaMarcus Aldridge. This offseason they added Pau Gasol to go along with the league’s best coach, Gregg Popovich.

The Spurs were middle of the pack in terms of attendance last season, but they still filled up over 99 percent of their stadium on average. That isn’t really a surprise considering they went 40-1 at home. The news of Duncan’s retirement is bound to break some hearts in San Antonio, but these loyal fans have nothing but respect and thanks for their hero.

The impressive thing about Spurs’ fans is that no matter the success, the bandwagon remains empty. It’s common when a team becomes successful for fans to start coming out of nowhere. We’ve seen it a lot recently with the Warriors and usually whatever team LeBron is on. Not with the Spurs though. This is because of their style of play. They play fundamental basketball, which is not always sexy, but is the reason they’ve been successful for so long and will continue to be successful for years to come.

Spurs fans appreciate real basketball and classy players, and that is why they rank among the best fans in sports.
