The FanSided staff makes their college football picks and predictions for the biggest Week 3 games of the college football season.

For as much hype as the opening weekend of the college football season received, Week 3 looks even better and includes our first matchup involving top-10 teams and there weren’t any slam dunks when it came to making our picks for the top 10 games of the week.

As a refresher, here are the members of the FanSided staff making their picks throughout the season. And each week we have a rotating site expert to offer their picks. With the USC Trojans visiting Stanford to take on Christian McCaffrey and the Stanford Cardinal, we invited Reign of Troy editor Alicia de Artola to join us and make her picks for Week 3.

The staff is in complete agreement when it comes to Miami avoiding the upset bid from Appalachian State, Texas A&M handing Auburn a second loss and Stanford doing the same to the Trojans.

Only Hill has Ole Miss beating Alabama, which would be the third straight win for the Rebels over their SEC West adversary. Cavan is the only one to believe in the Fighting Taysom Hill’s and has BYU handing Josh Rosen and the UCLA Bruins their second loss of the year.

Lamar Jackson has been the best player the first two weeks but only three are going with Louisville to beat Florida State. The same 8-3 split holds true for Ohio State and Oklahoma with the staff buying the Buckeyes and only three picking the Sooners to avoid their second loss.

The games the staff disagrees on the most are Oregon at Nebraska and Michigan State at Notre Dame. The staff gives the Ducks and the Fighting Irish a 6-5 advantage.
