According to a report, Oregon wide receiver Devon Allen is done for the year with a knee injury.

While the Oregon Ducks are in a bit of transition period currently, the team is still a serious contender in the Pac-12. On Saturday, the Ducks lost a tough game on the road to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. They also lost their star receiver Devon Allen.

Allen would suffer a non-contact injury to his left knee and would go down in pain immediately. It looked serious on the field and left the Ducks holding their breath. According to Duck Territory, Oregon fears it is a torn ACL and that his season is over.

For Allen, it’s a crushing blow for the standout wide receiver. After representing his country in the Olympics and finishing fifth in the world, he came into the year with plenty of hype. He was off to a great start and his NFL prospects were high because of his incredible athleticism.

Now, his junior season has come to an end quickly. He still has his senior season ahead of him, but the road back from a knee injury is always unpredictable. The good news is that he is a world-class athlete and a cut above the rest.

The Ducks will begin their Pac-12 portion of the schedule against Colorado. They have a big game against Washington in a few weeks that could go a long way in determining the Pac-12 North. Not having Allen out there is a big loss.
