The Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys clash in a big Week 3 meeting on Sunday Night Football.

The Dallas Cowboys are hoping to stay in the NFC East race with Dak Prescott filling in for Tony Romo, while the Chicago Bears are just hoping to get their first win of the season.

Rookie Dak Prescott has looked good in his first two starts in the NFL, including last week when he earned his first win as the Cowboys quarterback. Prescott completed 22 of 30 passes for 292 yards against the Redskins in Week 2 in helping Dallas get win number one on the season. Now the Cowboys are hoping to make it two wins in a row when they host the struggling Bears this Sunday night.

Prescott didn’t pass for a touchdown, but he showed off his dual threat ability by rushing for key yardage during the game, including a 6-yard touchdown scamper. NFL.com reports that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones likes what he is seeing out of Prescott so far this season, and cornerback Brandon Carr is excited about Dallas’ chances of getting stronger as the season progresses.

"”He exudes confidence,” Jones said about Prescott. ”He’s got a great supporting cast, but he’s using it.”“We kept our poise,” cornerback Brandon Carr said. “We didn’t get the onside, which would’ve been big for us, but at the same time we had to go out there and play defense. The offense is doing a great job of keeping us off the field this year so we’re fresh to go out there and play fast.”"

For Chicago, right now things couldn’t be worse, and front and center to take the heat is quarterback Jay Cutler.

The offense has been nonexistent for the Bears so far and when you don’t score points, the first person the fans blame is the quarterback. Cutler may have a legit excuse for the slow start in 2016, however it still isn’t making Bears fans feel better about the lack of points produced this season.

Reports indicate that Cutler hurt his thumb in a Week 1 loss to Houston, though no injury was reported until he left for the locker room in the third quarter of Monday’s loss to the Eagles. That seems a bit odd. Maybe there is a bit more than meets the eye going on in Chicago’s locker room. It looks as if the Bears QB will likely miss some time while allowing his thumb to heal.

Either way, no matter who lines up at quarterback this weekend for the Bears, they need to find a way to score points and win a game.

Las Vegas odds makers opened this game at Dallas -4, however, after the Cutler injury the line went up, to Dallas -7. The over/under number is listed at 45.

The Dak Prescott coming out party begins Sunday night in Big D with a big win for the Boys.

Pick — Dallas -7
