Michael Beasley is in the NBA headlines once again, this time because he has a new home with the Milwaukee Bucks

We know the the NBA off-season truly never sleeps, even as the new regular season is about to get underway. On Thursday, a bit of a significant transaction took place, in the form of a trade involving Michael Beasley.

Yes, Beasley has a new home after turning in 20 games with the Houston Rockets last season. Houston has traded the former Kansas State star to the Milwaukee Bucks for guard Tyler Ennis. Of course, Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report the news on Thursday.

So once again, here we sit wondering whether or not Beasley can have a career resurgence with a team. Again, Beasley spent just 20 games on the floor with the Rockets last year, and all things considered, he looked maybe the best that he has in a while. In his short time with the team, he averaged 12.8 points per game with 4.9 rebounds. Not exactly setting the world on fire, but we were seeing flashes of the player we thought might on day be one of the biggest stars in the NBA.

However, this was a move that probably needed to be made, as the Bucks need the help at forward after losing Khris Middleton for six months with a left hamstring injury that requires surgery. Obviously, the Bucks believe that Beasley will be a good fix for the time being.

As for the Rockets, in Ennis they’re getting a former Syracuse point guard still getting his footing in the NBA. In 46 games last season for the Bucks, Ennis averaged just 4.5 points per game with 2.1 assists.

But, the focus here is on Beasley, and now we’ll see if he can keep up the momentum from last season and help fill the gap for the Bucks this season with the loss of Middleton.
