Arsenal take on Chelsea at the Emirates with both teams hoping to gain ground on Manchester City at the top of the table. Here’s your one stop shop for live updates and highlights.

2:20 That’s it. Game over. Arsenal win their fourth league game in a row. Chelsea lose their second in a row.

2:18 This game is fizzling out. Arsenal have been superb today. They’ve come a long way since the defeat to Liverpool in August.

2:10 David Luiz plays Batshuayi through on goal, but the Belgian can’t finish past Petr Cech. Good save and a great ball by Luiz.

2:03 Xhaka takes a shot, mainly because the crowd ask him to. It goes well over. Big cheer from the crowd, though.

1:55 Walcott through on goal, but his shot is saved well by Courtois. This time Courtois shouts at his center-backs. This game seems very much over, but Chelsea are bringing on Michy Batshuayi and Pedro on, so maybe they can spark something.

1:51 Cahill shouts at Courtois for not coming out to pick up the ball. Cahill has a point. Courtois has struggled.

1:43 Chelsea have switched to a 3-4-3 and the early signs are that it’s not going to work. Arsenal finding a lot of space out wide now.

1:40 Walcott, back to his usual self, gets played through into a ton of space down the right. He takes the ball into the box, crosses instead of shooting and his cross is too high for Iwobi and Sanchez. Good move by Arsenal, though.

1:34 Second half underway.

1:17 Half-time. Arsenal totally dominant. Hard to see how Chelsea get back into this.

1:10 Mesut Ozil goal!! A ruthless Arsenal counter-attack. Ozil plays it to Sanchez, who chips the ball back post where Ozil volleys past Courtois. Great goal.

1:08 Chelsea dominating possession now, but very little threat.  Costa nearly gets a shot off, but Koscielny blocks well.

1:02 Francis Coquelin forced off with an injury. Granit Xhaka on in his place.

12:58 Branislav Ivanovic holds Alex Iwobi back at the top of Chelsea’s box. Ivanovic gets a yellow. Arsenal fans want red.

12:51 Chelsea’s best move of the game results in Willian dragging his shot wide. But Arsenal still dominant.

12:44 Wow. Theo Walcott finishes a stunning team move. 2-0 Arsenal.

12:41 Alexis Sanchez goal!! Arsenal take the lead. Gary Cahill gifts Sanchez the ball, whose finish is excellent.

12:39 Arsenal on top early on. Walcott drives into the box, but gets tackled. Ball falls to Sanchez, whose shot is deflected over. Corner comes to nothing.

12:34 Cazorla takes a good shot from about 25 yards, but Courtois saves relatively comfortably.

12:32 Arsenal have an early corner, but it comes to nothing.

12:30 The game is underway. Nothing has happened in the first 30 seconds.

Arsenal and Chelsea have been solid enough to start the season, but neither team has really hit their stride. The Gunners opened with a 4-3 defeat at home to Liverpool, and have steadily been working their way back into form since then.

They put four past Hull last week, and followed that up with four goals against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup. Chelsea will obviously be much stiffer competition, but Arsenal are now unbeaten in six games and will be confident of getting a result against Chelsea.

The Blues, meanwhile, started the season with three wins in a row, but stumbled in their past two games. A 2-2 draw with Swansea — in which they were admittedly the victims of some very questionable refereeing — was compounded with a home loss to Liverpool in their last game.

Antonio Conte’s side hasn’t produced a really complete performance yet this season, but the squad is unquestionably one of the most dangerous in the league. Eden Hazard looks back to his best, Willian is a constant threat, while N’Golo Kante has added some stability in midfield. With Diego Costa scoring consistently up front, this is a difficult team to stop.

Who’s got the edge? That probably depends on who you ask. Arsenal typically struggle against Chelsea, but they are in better form at the moment and will be confident they can test a shaky Blues defense.
