ACC Power Rankings 2016: Lamar Jackson show continues at Louisville
By Jason Parker
After the most embarrassing loss in the history of the Seminoles’ program, Florida State was able to score plenty points of their own in a convincing victory over in-state foe USF. The victory was marred by the defense that continues to play like swiss cheese and give up far too many points.
That being said, the game ball goes to running back Dalvin Cook. The one-time Heisman candidate ran for more yards in the first three quarters than he ran for in the first three games combined. With games coming up against UNC, Miami, and Clemson, getting him going is going to be the saving grace for the season in Tallahassee.
The Tigers did something that hadn’t been done since the first term in office of former President George W. Bush – they went into Atlanta and defeated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in a very convincing way.
It would have been nice, if you are a fan of the Tigers, to see a full game effort heading into next weekend’s HUGE game against Louisville. On the other side of the spectrum, Deshaun Watson got out of the game safe and the defense played better than they had all season, so the pros outweigh the cons in this one.
