18. Baltimore Ravens

In typical Baltimore Ravens fashion, the team continues to find ways to win. It’s not always pretty but at the end of the day the result ends up in their favor. Credit must go to the steady coaching of John Harbaugh and of course the masterful roster shuffling of general manager Ozzie Newsome. There are still plenty of huge tests on the horizon for this team. They need to start showing they can win games in convincing fashion. Narrow victories over Buffalo and Cleveland won’t cut it.
Looking at their roster, it’s clear enough the defense needs some attention. The pass rush, while still effective, is getting old. They also have some question marks at the cornerback position. Jimmy Smith remains a steady starter. Shareece Wright, Jerraud Powers and Tavon Young are serviceable but haven’t really been tested yet this season. Given the importance of having corners who can survive in man coverage alone, they can’t be viewed as permanent solutions.

Historically Newsome loves getting players from Alabama because they’re talented, well-coached and know what it takes to win. Marlon Humphrey is no exception. The 6-foot-1 cornerback is another classic Nick Saban press man. He can line up anywhere on the field across from his man and stick to him all day. Size and speed are what coaches look for at that position. Humphrey has both. He should be right at home with the Ravens.
. CB. Alabama. Marlon Humphrey . 18. player. 26
