22. New York Jets

OT. Florida State. Roderick Johnson . 22. player. 30. Ryan Fitzpatrick had one of the worst games in modern NFL history against Kansas City, dropping the team to 1-2 on the year. Even so this remains one of the most talented rosters in the league. If he can avoid the ridiculous number of turnovers moving forward this is still a team that can make the playoffs. Even so it’s becoming clearer than ever that Fitzpatrick made a huge mistake by holding out for so long on his contract.
It’s also clear he won’t be the quarterback for much longer. At some point the Jets are going to make a switch to one of their younger options. Whether that ends up being Bryce Petty or Christian Hackenberg is an unknown. What will be known is that in order for either of those two to function, they will need solid protection. Hackenberg especially. That means they must continue to invest in their offensive line.

He hasn’t gotten the same attention as he did the past couple years due to the struggles of the program, but that should not erase how talented a tackle Roderick Johnson is. He’s guarded the blind side of Jameis Winston and opened running lanes for Dalvin Cook. His game isn’t fine-tuned yet but once he gains consistency he has the upside to become one of the top edge blockers in the 2017 class.
