Who says the Big 12 doesn’t play real defense? This hit by a Kansas Jayhawks defensive player absolutely Rock Chalks this poor Texas Tech Red Raiders player.

Big 12 football has gradually become a completely one-sided game. The popular Air Raid offense has taken the Texas schools, and therefore the entire 10-team conference, by storm. Defense has been optional in the Big 12 for the last five years, but try to tell that to the lowly Kansas Jayhawks football program.

On Thursday night in Lubbock against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, one Jayhawk defensive player delivers perhaps the most earth-shattering hit of the 2016 NCAA season. Freshman safety Mike Lee absolutely Rock Chalks sophomore running back Demarcus Felton.

Lee is from New Orleans and is probably still bitter than the LSU Tigers didn’t recruit him heavily out of high school. Louisiana has so much football talent in-state that all the best players in the state can’t possibly play for the Bayou Bengals.

It didn’t matter that the Jayhawks were down 14-0 to the Red Raiders in Lubbock, Lee decided to make his first message as a student-athlete for the Jayhawks. That hit on Felton was punishing!

It hasn’t even been a week since the crushing hit that Stanford Cardinal wide receiver Francis Owusu suffered against the rival UCLA Bruins on Saturday. He’s not playing this week against Pac-12 North rival Washington in the biggest game on the Pac-12 slate this season.
