Tampa Bay suffered its third straight loss of the season after looking strong in the season opener. Jameis Winston continues to make rookie mistakes in his second year, and currently has the second-most interceptions in the league. He threw two picks in the first half against a very good defense in the Broncos at home, and also had one of two Buccaneers fumbles. Tampa Bay has been blown out twice already this year, and have a league-worst -51 point differential. Its defense allowed Trevor Siemian and rookie Paxton Lynch to throw for a combined 218 yards and two touchdowns. The defense was able to reach the quarterbacks, and showed that with four sacks, but outside of that they could not gain turnovers.

Next Week: Not having a reliable running game to protect Winston from his turnover tendencies will hurt even more next week in prime time against the reigning NFC-champion Carolina Panthers. While Carolina has fallen flat this year and may be without Cam Newton after the quarterback was placed under the concussion protocol, Tampa Bay will need someone to step up on both sides of the ball.

Playoff hopes: They’re currently tied with three teams in the NFC South with just one win each.
. 1-3. Previous: . Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 29. team. 48
