The Bengals and Cowboys will meet up in a Week 5 match-up that is key for both teams.

Heading into the 2016 NFL season, both the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys had visions of a trip to Super Bowl 51. While that is still in play for each team, this weekend’s meeting could go a long way as a confidence builder for the winner.

If Dallas wants to move to 4-1 on the season, they are going to have to do something many NFC teams have not been good at the last few seasons: beat Andy Dalton.

The Cincinnati quarterback is 14-4-1 against NFC foes in his career. It seems the NFC brings out the best in Dalton, and the Bengals faithful are hoping that trend continues this Sunday. Cincinnati has no fear about facing the Cowboys in Big D. In fact the Bengals are an impressive 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 games on the road. That right there is a NFL gambler’s dream! If you rode that 10 game wave you would be sitting on top of a nice profit right now.

While the Bengals do have a nice roll going on the road, they have historically struggled with Dallas.

The Cowboys are 5-2 in their last seven games against Cincinnati, which includes winning the last two match-ups. The latest meeting took place back on December 9, 2012 from Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, OH.

The Bengals led 19-10 in the 4th quarter, however Tony Romo hit Dez Bryant on a 27-yard touchdown pass half way through the period, and Dan Bailey kicked a 40-yard field goal as time expired to give Dallas the 20-19 win. Since 2000, they have met four times, with Dallas winning three of the four.

Las Vegas odds makers have Cincinnati listed as a one-point favorite in this Sunday’s game. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET from AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
