After leaving practice on Friday early, LeSean McCoy is back in the dressing room, seemingly not struggling with his supposed hand injury.

The Buffalo Bills are on fire. After an 0-2 start that culminated in a humbling at the hands of the New York Jets on a Thursday night where the color rush jerseys seemingly left the apparently talented Bill’s defense color blind with Ryan Fitzpatrick throwing lasers left, right and center, they have since dismantled the Arizona Cardinals and shutout the New England Patriots. They’ve dodged a bullet in trying to continue their hot form, with LeSean McCoy seemingly okay after leaving the practice field early on Friday.

Now sitting at 2-2, set to travel to the face the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday, the playoff hopes are still alive, if only slim. To achieve such dreams, keeping your star players fit is an absolute necessity, and none perhaps come more important than running back LeSean McCoy.

The worry, then, when he left the practice field on Friday with a hand injury is easy to imagine. Thankfully for Rex Ryan — who fired his offensive coordinator earlier this season in the hope reignite last season’s outstanding rushing attack — McCoy is in the locker room, texting and is apparently looking fine.

With the hopes of moving to 3-2 on Sunday against one of the better defenses the NFL has to offer, Ryan will be praying to all that is holy for the fitness of his star running back. With a mobile quarterback in Tyrod Taylor, the combination of him and McCoy is a tantalizing one. Lose McCoy, though, and this offense becomes even more devoid of talent after Sammy Watkins was placed on IR.
