The Notre Dame Fighting Irish should consider replacing Brian Kelly with one of these five options.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish lost yet another bad game on Saturday. They were not prepared to play football and the team looked terrible against North Carolina State. It’s not completely fair to rip the way that they played in the middle of hurricane conditions, but there was no execution at all.

It’s the fourth loss on the year for Notre Dame and the team is spiraling downward in the wrong direction. One has to wonder just how far they have to go to make Brian Kelly’s job unsafe. It’s not like he’s losing to the top teams in college football. If they do decide to make a move, these five replacement options make a ton of sense.

5. P.J. Fleck

P.J. Fleck is quickly rising up as the next coach to make the jump to a big school. Fleck has done an amazing job with Western Michigan and has turned the team into a top 25 program. For him to be able to do that says a lot about his coaching.

It also means that he’s going to have plenty of offers from other schools. If Notre Dame wants to take a chance and potentially land the next big thing, Fleck is the guy to go after. He has done well recruiting in the Midwest and could get better players with the Irish.
