These five college football coaches on the hot seat need a win in the worst way in Week 7.

The college football season is turning the corner into the second half of the year as Week 7 rolls around and for some, the hot seat is reaching extreme temperatures. By this point of the season, teams know whether they have a chance at a successful one or if they’re in for a long year. Boosters are getting impatient, programs are getting impatient and coaches are being put on the hot seat.

The big firing in college football this season thus far has been Les Miles. With the season rounding the corner, there will be more to follow him soon. Week 7 is going to be a pivotal week for many teams and it could set them up for a losing season or a winning season. Here are five coaches that need a win in Week 7.

5. Steve Addazio

Steve Addazio has Boston College at a .500 clip with a 3-3 record. However, his wins have come against bad teams and his team still hasn’t won in the conference yet this year after going winless in the ACC last year. Going back to last year’s disaster of a season, Addazio has to pick up some conference wins and a bowl game appearance or he’s definitely fired.

If they lose again this week, his team will drop to a losing record and they could be toast. His defense is putrid and they give up points pretty easy. The clock is ticking and he needs to produce results real quick.
