2. Brian Kelly

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have plenty of issues and their team just isn’t that good. After starting the season with high hopes, they have lost four out of six games and it has put Brian Kelly squarely on the hot seat.

If Kelly wants to keep his job, he has to finish with a winning record or even win out. That might not even be enough to keep his jobs. It’s not like Notre Dame is losing to great programs, because they aren’t.

They’re losing to average teams and that’s not acceptable in Notre Dame. If the season keeps trending the way that it is, the Irish are going to make a move. There will be plenty of big names out there after the season and they might find that it is in their best interest to move on.

The Irish will play Stanford at home this week. The Cardinal are also struggling on the year, but David Shaw will have his guys ready to play after a bad loss against Washington State last week. If Notre Dame loses this one, it might cement Kelly’s fate.
