The Cleveland Indians jump out to a 2-0 start in the ALCS against the Toronto Blue Jays with a 2-1 win in Game 2.

The Cleveland Indians are on a five-game postseason winning streak this year, setting a franchise record with their 2-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 2 of the ALCS on Saturday. The Tribe is now up 2-0 against the Blue Jays. Tonight’s win came with two early runs scored, and that was all they needed to keep control of the game.

The Indians got on the board when Carlos Santana hit a home run into left center field, putting the Tribe up 1-0 in the 2nd inning. It was Santana’s first RBI in the postseason. Toronto answered in the top of the third inning with a Josh Donaldson double into right field that drove in Darwin Barney. Francisco Lindor drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the third, sending a grounder to center fielder Kevin Pillar to score Rajal Davis. That’s all the Indians needed to keep control of the game.

Josh Tomlin, tonight’s starting pitcher for the Indians, was the Game 3 starter in the ALDS. Tomlin went 5.2 innings with 3 hits and 6 strikeouts, allowing only 1 earned run. Bryan Shaw replaced him in the middle of the 6th inning when Tomlin started showing signs of fatigue. Cody Allen came in for his 4th save opportunity of the postseason and closed out the game with two strikeouts and a fly ball to end the 9th inning and win the game.
