After crashing a White House press briefing, actor Bill Murray guaranteed the Chicago Cubs will make the World Series.

The Chicago Cubs are the most cursed team in professional sports. Cubs fans are naturally scared of jinxing their team. However, actor and famous Cubs fan Bill Murray is sure confident about his team. Murray was at a White House press briefing. After taking the stage, he took some questions and guaranteed his Cubs would make the World Series.

Murray even worse his Cubs jacket to the press conference. If that doesn’t show confidence in his team, what does? While Murray respects Los Angeles Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw as a great pitcher, he notes the Cubs have “too many sticks”.

Chicago’s offense has woken up from its slumber in the past two games, allowing the Cubs to grab a 3-2 lead in the National League Championship Series. Murray’s prediction is quite ominous considering the ways the Cubs have lost in the playoffs. Should the Cubs lose, Murray will likely get a lot of the blame because Cubs fans are superstitious.

Game 6 of the NLCS is Saturday where the Cubs have the chance to advance to their first World Series since 1945. If the Cubs advance, they will play the Cleveland Indians. Might there be a bit of a rivalry between Indians fans Drew Carey and Charlie Sheen and Murray? Only time will tell.

Before going to the World Series, the Cubs must first beat the Dodgers one more time. The last time they faced Kershaw, the Dodger’s ace got the best of the Cubs. They’ll have to solve him if they want to advance to the World Series without a ton of drama. Meanwhile, the Dodgers are going through a bit of a World Series drought as well. They haven’t won a World Series since 1988 when they beat the Oakland Athletics.
