Leonard Fournette reminded college football fans why he is one of the best running backs in the country with an incredible 76-yard touchdown.

LSU running back Leonard Fournette continues to show why he is arguably the top running back in college football. The LSU Tigers took a 21-13 lead over Ole Miss in the second quarter. They enter halftime tied at 21. Fournette has provided the majority of the Tigers’ offensive production on his own. The junior running back has barely been involved, but that has not held him back. Fournette burst past the Rebels defense and found an easy path for a 76-yard touchdown.

Fournette now has 171 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and he has done all of that on only six carries. The LSU running back has already established himself as elite, but this is remarkable even for him. Fournette is widely expected to be a top-10 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He may rise to the top five if he can finish his season strongly like this.

The Tigers have looked strong in their last couple of games. They endured heartbreaking losses to No. 10 Wisconsin and No. 21 Auburn. They seem to be adjusting well without recently fired head coach Les Miles, though. The Tigers currently hold a 4-2 record, and they will improve to 3-1 in conference play and 5-2 overall if they hold on.

Meanwhile, Ole Miss has had its fair share of struggles with a 3-3 record. A blown 22-point lead against Florida State set the tone for what has been a roller coaster of a season. The Rebels are still in the game against LSU. They can definitely recover if they limit big plays from Fournette, but that is easier said than done.
