Miami Dolphins star wideout Jarvis Landry absolutely levels Buffalo Bills defensive back Aaron Williams on this block attempt on Sunday afternoon.

The Miami Dolphins were coming off a big win in Week 6 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers to move to 2-4 on the year. They had to face the AFC East arch rival Buffalo Bills on Sunday in Week 7. Buffalo had won four straight games entering play on Sunday in Hard Rock Stadium.

On a 1st and 10 inside the red zone in Bills’ territory, the Dolphins decided to run to the right. The run sort of worked, but wide receiver Jarvis Landry absolutely crushed Bills defensive back Aaron Williams with this block.

Down 10-3 in the second quarter, the Dolphins were pushing to tie the game against the Bills. Landry is best known for his ability to make plays with his hands in the receiving game, but proves that run blocking is a crucial part of playing wide receiver in the NFL.

Miami would have to settle for a field goal on that possession, but that hit on Williams by Landry shows that the Dolphins will be a tough out the rest of the way. Buffalo looks like an AFC Playoff caliber team in the AFC. Miami is probably the third best team in the AFC East behind the New England Patriots and the Bills.

If Miami can keep it close, the Dolphins can upset the Bills at home to move to 3-4 on the year. It’s not a great record, but first-year head coach Adam Gase will certainly take it for his young team.
