Cleveland Indians legend Kenny Lofton took a selfie on the mound before throwing out the first pitch of Game 1 of World Series.

With the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs sharing a lot of history between their teams both on the field and off, there was plenty of discussion about who would throw out the first pitch in each game. The Indians opted to use a former team favorite. Before Game 1 of the World Series, former Indians great Kenny Lofton came out to throw the first pitch.

With the crowd going crazy and Lofton being elated to get the opportunity, he decided it was the perfect time to take a selfie. As he stretched out his throwing arm, Lofton extended back as far as he could to get the perfect angle.

There probably hasn’t been any series in baseball before this one that has generated so much discussion about first pitches. With both teams having famous movies about them on the big screen, many thought there could be some celebrities on the field.

Instead, the Indians have decided to go with their former greats. Lofton decided that he was going to make sure that everyone remembered the first pitch that he threw out on Tuesday night.
