The 2016 college football season will enter its final weekend in October in Week 9. There are a lot of high-profile games on the slate, including one must-see matchup in each Power 5 conference.
Here are the point spreads to the five most anticipated games of the Week 9 slate in college football, according to OddsShark.com.
No. 10 West Virginia Mountaineers at Oklahoma State Cowboys: Oklahoma State +3
No. 14 Florida Gators vs. Georgia Bulldogs: Florida -7.5
No. 4 Washington Huskies at No. 17 Utah Utes: Utah +11.5
No. 7 Nebraska Cornhuskers at No. 11 Wisconsin Badgers: Wisconsin -7.5
No. 3 Clemson Tigers at No. 12 Florida State Seminoles: Florida State +3
West Virginia is one of nine undefeated teams left in Division I football at 6-0. The Mountaineers are laying three points on the road to the Cowboys in Stillwater. This should be a tight one, but West Virginia might be the only team in the Big 12 that plays any real defense. That being said, this is the time of the year where the Mountaineers schedule intensifies.
The Gators are a better team than the rebuilding Bulldogs in 2016. Florida laying 7.5 points in neutral site Jacksonville is understandable. However, this is one of the biggest rivalries in all of college football. Records can be thrown out the window in this one. Georgia might give Florida its all in this one, especially after embarrassing themselves at home two weeks ago to the Vanderbilt Commodores on homecoming weekend.
Washington at Utah is a fantastic game in the Pac-12, and ESPN’s College GameDay will be in Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. One could argue that this is a potential preview for the 2016 Pac-12 Championship Game at Levi’s Stadium in early December. The Utes are getting a whopping 11.5 points at home. Don’t be shocked if Utah covers the spread against this talented Huskies team.
Las Vegas isn’t buying into the Cornhuskers. Their best win this season was over an atrocious Oregon Ducks team. Wisconsin is a 7.5-point favorite at Camp Randall and probably should be. This game could end up deciding who wins the Big Ten West.

The big prime time game on ABC this week will be a huge ACC Atlantic rivalry game between Clemson and Florida State. Should Clemson win, the Tigers will probably win the Atlantic Division. If Florida State pulls off the upset, Louisville has a chance to win the division. The Seminoles are getting three points at home against a Tigers team that hasn’t thrived at any point this season.
