The Cleveland Indians take down the Chicago Cubs, 7-2, in Game 4 of the 2016 World Series to jump out to a 3-1 series lead.

Cleveland bats were hot on Saturday night in Game 4 of the 2016 World Series as they took a commanding 7-2 win over the Cubs, putting the Tribe up 3-1 in the series.

Anthony Rizzo kicked things off for the Cubs in the 1st inning with a line drive single into center field, scoring Dexter Fowler. The Cubs go up 1-0.

In the top of the 2nd inning, the Indians answer with a solo home run from Carlos Santana, knotting the game 1-1. The pitcher, Corey Kluber, came up and hit a grounder to third base, driving in Lonnie Chisenhall to make it 2-1 Indians.

The Tribe wasn’t done yet. In the top of the 7th inning Jason Kipnis launched a three-run homer into right field, bringing in Coco Crisp and Rajal Davis to make it 7-1 Indians.

Dexter Fowler put the Cubs on the board again in the 8th inning with a solo home run to left center field, closing the gap to 7-2 Indians. That was all the Indians needed as they took the game by that final.

Kluber had 6.0 innings of work with one run on 5 hits, with 5 punch outs and a 0.75 ERA. Joe Maddon had to pull John Lackey after 5 innings. Lackey allowed 4 hits and 3 runs, with 2 earned runs and 5 strikeouts for a 3.60 ERA. After Lackey left the game the Cubs had 4 pitchers come in to finish the game.
