The Chicago Bears should consider these five replacement options if they look to move on from head coach John Fox.

The Chicago Bears are 1-6 on the season and the future doesn’t look so bright at the moment. While they are struggling and there doesn’t appear to be an end in sight, the team is on track to end up with a great draft pick in what is supposed to be a loaded draft season. The real question is if John Fox is going to be the guy next year.

Through two seasons, the Bears have struggled mightily. While injuries have played a role, this is just not a good football team and they need a lot more young talent that they can build around. It wouldn’t be surprising either to see the Bears make a change at coach and go in a different direction. If they do, they should consider these five coaches.

5. Vic Fangio

When it comes to career assistants that deserve a shot at being head coach, Vic Fangio is one of those. He has been part of several great defenses throughout his career in the NFL and the 58-year-old is one of the most respected defensive coordinators in the league.

If the Bears want to make a switch, they’ll be hard pressed not to kick the tires on their defensive coordinator. He might just be a guy that ends up being a coordinator for his entire career but he has been a great one.
