Chicago Cubs left fielder Ben Zobrist won the World Series MVP for his efforts throughout.

The Chicago Cubs have finally won the World Series at long last. After 108 years of curses, anguish and heartbreaking moments, the Cubs have done the impossible and won the big one. It wasn’t an easy one and they won it in true Cubs fashion. After taking a big lead, the Cubs blew it and wound up going to extra innings in a rain delay. That’s when Ben Zobrist came through clutch.

With two runners on, Zobrist was able to line a shot into left field to give his team the lead for good. As a result of his big hit and his play in the rest of the series, Zobrist was named the World Series MVP and was given a 50th anniversary Chevrolet Camaro.

Zobrist is used to coming up big for his teams. He was an integral part of the Kansas City Royals team that ended up winning the World Series last year. This year he brought his experience to the Cubs.

One could say that he was ready for the moment when he was called upon. That’s how he earned the MVP and he will forever go down in history.
