The Cleveland Indians blew a 3-1 World Series lead, something Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green can sympathize with.

For the first time in 108-years, we’re waking up in a world where the Chicago Cubs are champions. The Cubs winning the World Series for the first time in 108 years was historic on so many levels, and the way they won is going to be the thing of baseball lore for generations.

The Cleveland Indians had the World Series locked away, up 3-1 and having back the cubs into a corner at Wrigley. But Chicago came roaring back and captured the momentum late in the series to sweep the final two games, bringing the first World Series to Wrigley in over a century.

To be fair, the century-long wait was well worth it. Game 7 was by far one of the best baseball games to have ever been played, as it took the drama of the Cubs’ curse being broken to heights we didn’t know was possible. A comeback, a rain delay and extra innings were all in the mix for what is by far one of the most historic comebacks and one of the most memorable baseball moments ever.

While the Cubs are the talk of the sports world, Cleveland is feeling the brunt of being on the wrong side of history. The city has a pretty close association with 3-1 comebacks, as the Cleveland Cavaliers mounted such a comeback to beat the Golden State. After the Indians blew a 3-1 lead in the World Series to the Chicago Cubs, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green took to Twitter to sympathize with that sort of a collapse.

That’s just perfect. The current state of affairs between the Cavaliers and Warriors is not pleasant. Things are at peak troll levels, with LeBron James using his Halloween party to take parting shots at the Dubs over their 3-1 collapse.

Green, a guy who has been criticized for being a bit of a dirty player, could have gone low with a troll of LeBron’s favorite team. Green is probably getting some small satisfaction out of this, but losing a 3-1 lead is something Green knows better than most that it’s no laughing matter.
