With the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series, the Wrigley Field marquee finally got to boast their team as champions.
History has finally been made. After years of heartbreak, the Chicago Cubs have done the unthinkable and have won the World Series. They had to overcome a 3-1 deficit to do so, but they were able to come back and win an epic Game 7. After the game, there was a scene outside Wrigley Field that had never been seen.
While the Cubs were celebrating in Cleveland, there fans were back at home going crazy in Chicago. The Wrigley Field marquee, the most famous sign in sports, finally got to display a message that boasted the Cubs as World Champions.
People gathered around celebrating, hugging each other and having the time of their lives. The marquee has displayed many famous messages over the years, but none will be as big as this one was for the team.
The fans waited for so long and that sign has been there even longer. However, that sign and the fans can finally refer to the Cubs as champions. Many might not have believed how it went down, but it ended up being an absolute classic.
