2. Heisman moment complete

If you look back on every college season over the years and take note of who won the Heisman during that season, chances are the winner had a defining moment. It was a moment when they pulled away from the pack. A moment when that player was the biggest collegiate standout during the whole season. That particular time is referred to as “A Heisman Moment.”

Desmond Howard had his moment against Big Ten rival Ohio State, when he capped off a blow out victory with a 92 yard punt return. The run was not only spectacular, but when he reached the end zone, he froze for a second and hit the Heisman pose.

For Cam Newton it was his 49 yard touchdown run against the LSU Tigers. Michigan great Charles Woodson showed the world his Heisman moment with a one-handed interception against the Spartans where he seemed to defy gravity all together.

These memories not only make for great highlights, but it was the moment that the competition was officially over because that player had pulled ahead for good.

Jabrill Peppers moment happened last Saturday. He returned a fumble 98 yards during a spoiled two-point conversion against Michigan State. That defining moment didn’t just shift the momentum back in the Wolverines favor, it put the game out of reach for good.
