Phoenix Suns forward T.J. Warren had a wide-open path to the basket and scored the winning dunk.

The Phoenix Suns managed to get the big shots they needed late to force overtime on Friday night. Devin Booker had two huge shots to tie the game and send the Suns and New Orleans Pelicans to overtime. In overtime, it was Suns forward T.J. Warren that ended the game.

After Booker fouled out and the Pelicans took the lead on free throws, the Suns had one last chance to take the lead. P.J. Tucker waited for the right moment to make his pass and he saw that no one was guarding the basket as Warren cut to the hoop. Warren caught the pass and put home the dunk, which would ultimately be the winner.

It was a great dunk by Warren, but an even better play from Tucker. He could have easily passed the ball out to Eric Bledsoe, but had the patience to wait for Warren to make his move straight to the basket.

His patience was rewarded and the Suns won their second straight game of the season. It was also their second straight win in overtime. Warren’s developed into a prolific scorer for the Suns and he netted a cool game-winning dunk. It doesn’t get much better than that.
