Who did Lee Corso select with his headgear pick on College GameDay for Saturday’s game between Alabama and LSU?

On Saturday, November 5, college football analyst Lee Corso made his latest headgear selection on College GameDay in Baton Rouge, LA. This is for No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 13 LSU in a SEC matchup.

Alabama has been college football’s top team throughout the 2016 season. The No. 1 spot never got let go by them as they’ve run through everyone on their schedule. This includes beating Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Arkansas convincingly. The most recent game saw the Crimson Tide beat the Aggies, 33-14 two weeks ago. The running game produced 287 yards, including 128 yards from Damien Harris. Quarterback Jalen Hurts even pitched in 93 of his own.

LSU had a rocky start to the 2016 season. After started 2-2, they let go of long-time head coach, Les Miles, who had led them to a National Championship in 2007. However, the Tigers had struggled to remain at the top of college football five 2011, so the school decided to go in another direction.

Since Miles’ departure, LSU hasn’t lost a game under interim coach Ed Orgeron. This has seen them beat Missouri, Southern Miss, and Ole Miss.

Can Alabama be beaten, though? Corso would have to make that decision with his headgear pick at the end of College GameDay. Would he choose the upset?

Picking the Tigers is a bit of a surprise here from Corso.

If LSU can pull off this upset, it may secure Orgeron the job with Alabama. It would be a statement win for a program that seemed down and out about six weeks ago. Beating Nick Saban’s squad isn’t an east task, though, and will require their best performance of the season.
