Pitt Football: Quadree Henderson 100-yard kick return for TD vs Miami (Video)
By John Buhler
Pittsburgh Panthers sophomore kick returner Quadree Henderson takes it to the house versus the Miami Hurricanes early in the first quarter.
Losing to the Virginia Tech Hokies was not a great moment for the Pittsburgh Panthers in the ACC Coastal race. Fortunately, Pittsburgh is still a very good football team with a very special return man in sophomore Quadree Henderson.
The Panthers offense didn’t even need to take the field to get points against Mark Richt’s Miami Hurricanes. Watch Henderson find pay dirt on this 100-yard kick return for a touchdown.
When Henderson caught the kickoff at the Pittsburgh goal line, there was absolutely no doubt that he would get into the end zone. He was a full speed by the time that he got to the Panthers’ 20-yard line.
Miami lackadaisically went down the field and did a poor job of covering Henderson on the return. It was as if the Hurricanes didn’t think that the lightning fast Henderson wasn’t going to score on them.
Henderson got some great blocks from his Pittsburgh teammates, but would have gotten a huge return on his own anyway. Miami has fizzled under Richt in the last few weeks. Pittsburgh is a very dangerous team in the ACC this year. A win over Miami would get the Panthers to bowl eligibility.

Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi is doing a fine job in his second year with the Pittsburgh program. He should be thrilled to have Henderson back for a third season in 2017. This guy is becoming one of the very best return men in the Power 5.
