In our latest NFL roundup, the Minnesota Vikings will hang on to Blair Walsh, after trying out a few other kickers this week.

The Minnesota Vikings tried to replace kicker Blair Walsh, but just could not find a suitable replacement. After trying out a few kickers this week, the Vikings have made the decision to keep Walsh as their kicker for the time being. Walsh has missed four field goals and three extra points through the first half of the season.

The Monday Night Football matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks was not without drama, after Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman appeared to rough the kicker late in the first half. Sherman had a stare down with Bills head coach Rex Ryan after the play, and Ryan later had choice words to say about Sherman in his post-game press conference. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll came to Sherman’s defense on Tuesday, telling Ryan to coach his own players.

Speaking of head coaches, former New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin admitted to missing coaching on Tuesday while speaking to reporters on a conference call. Coughlin is going to be inducted in the Giants Ring of Honor this weekend, as he is being honored for leading the franchise to two Super Bowl wins. He unceremoniously left coaching after last season, as the Giants promoted offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo to head coach to take his place.

The Dallas Cowboys have been one of the better surprises in the NFL this season, as their star offensive rookies have led them to a 7-1 record. Quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott are the two front-runners for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, though only Prescott’s job has come into question. Team owner Jerry Jones has stated that it is still Tony Romo’s team in the past, but he now says he is going to play it by ear.

Finally, a feel-good story, which occurred after the Tennessee Titans were beaten by the San Diego Chargers this past Sunday. Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan noticed a Titans fan distraught over the team’s loss, and went over to the youngster to console him. After speaking with him for nearly a minute, Lewan gave the kid his towel and hat, and even the home Chargers fans gave Lewan an ovation after the gesture.
