55. . TE. Alabama. O.J. Howard. 25. player

Ben Roethlisberger has two of the best offensive weapons in football at his disposal, as wide receiver Antonio Brown and running back Le’Veon Bell are two of the biggest stars in football. The Pittsburgh Steelers are once again in the running to make the playoffs, despite Big Ben missing some time due to injury. The team could very well go with an offensive lineman at this pick, but we expect them to bolster their tight end situation.

Alabama’s O.J. Howard is the kind of athletic tight end that could really open up the Steelers offense. Brown is beginning to get double and triple-teamed, and Bell is not putting up the kind of numbers expected from someone of his star power. Current tight end Jesse James is a nice player, but he does not garner the kind of attention needed to take the pressure off of other players.

Howard is not only a good pass-catching tight end, but he also does a nice job in the run game. His issue is that he is currently playing in an offense that does not feature the tight end, but that would change in Pittsburgh. Big Ben is a master at checking down, and would make sure that Howard is featured a ton.
