A look at how to watch the Armed Forces Classic between Indiana and Kansas.
On Friday, the Stan Sheriff Center will host two special college basketball games in what’s being called the Armed Forces Classic. This is taking place at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, HI. The first one will be Arizona vs. Michigan State at 7:00 p.m. ET with the later contest being No. 11 Indiana vs. No. 3 Kansas.
Kansas will be welcoming in a new freshman class led by Joshua Jackson, perceived as one of the best coming into the 2016-17 season. He’s the No. 1 recruit coming out of the 2016 class and is a 6-foot-8 guard. This will be his debut, which should have all eyes, including those of NBA scouts, on him on Friday night. It could be Jackson’s first step toward building his stock as a potential No. 1 pick, especially against a ranked school.
While the Jayhawks lost Perry Ellis and Wayne Selden Jr., they have point guard Frank Mason III returning. His senior leadership should be key in not only this game but as this young team develops throughout the season.
Indiana will begin their season by coping without star point guard Yogi Ferrell, who is in the NBA. They are returning multiple critical pieces from last season’s team, though. This includes James Blackmon Jr. and Thomas Bryant, who were the second and fourth leading scorers, respectively. They will also get a look at freshman guard Curtis Jones, ESPN’s No. 40-ranked player coming into this year.
