The West Virginia Mountaineers will host the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers for a tipoff on Friday night. Here’s how you can watch this NCAA basketball game via live streaming.
On Friday November 11, the college basketball season will get underway. One of its first games will feature the West Virginia Mountaineers hosting the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers at WVU Coliseum. The game will start at 7:00 p.m. EST and will be shown on ROOT.
The Mountaineers enter the 2016-17 NCAA basketball season as the #20 team in the AP polls and #18 team in the USA Today polls. They will have the difficult task of replacing both of their leading scorers from last season. Jevon Carter, Daxter Miles Jr., and Tarik Phillip will be expected to help replace the scoring they have lost. Freshman Esa Ahmad will also play a role in Bob Huggins’ system. Point guard James Bolden, a redshirt freshman, should also help.
On the other side of the court, Mount St. Mary’s will be facing WVU for the third time in a season opener in the 21st century. Their game plan will most likely involve forcing turnovers, as they forced a turnover on 24.6 percent of their possessions last year. Junior guard Junior Robinson is the team’s returning leading scorer. However, their only returning player with more than four rebounds per game last season is Chris Wray.
