The No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide annihilated the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 51-3. Here are all the highlights, the game recap, and the final score.

This game was over immediately, as the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide rolled all over the hapless Mississippi State Bulldogs, 51-3 in Week 11. Alabama improves to 10-0 on the season, while Mississippi State drops to 4-6 on the year.

Alabama dictated the pace of this game with the greatest pass rush in college football. Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald couldn’t get anything together against the Alabama defense. After a few Alabama offensive possessions, the game was out of reach for Dan Mullen’s Bulldogs.

Alabama must have saved all the points the Crimson Tide didn’t score last week against the LSU Tigers for Mississippi State. This might have been the Crimson Tide’s most dominant victory of the season. Mississippi State was feeling really good about itself after upsetting then No. 4 Texas A&M last week. Alabama reminded the Bulldogs that the SEC belongs to only the Crimson Tide.

It was a great day for the Alabama offense with players like quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver ArDarius Stewart leading the way. Hurts look poised in this game. This is a sign of hopefully good things to come for the Crimson Tide’s true freshman signal caller.

Assuming Alabama rolls over Chattanooga next week, it all comes down to the Iron Bowl with arch rival Auburn in a few weeks. Auburn has to beat another rival in the Georgia Bulldogs to make the Iron Bowl be the game that decides the SEC West.

Three Stars

  1. ArDarius Stewart: Stewart was incredible for the Crimson Tide on Saturday. He had eight catches for 156 yards and three touchdowns, including an 87-yard jet sweep touchdown.
  2. Jalen Hurts: Hurts had a great game against a bewildered Bulldogs defense. He completed 28 of 37 passes for 347 yards, four touchdown passes, and one interception. On the ground, Hurts would have 11 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown.
  3. Joshua Jacobs: Jacobs helped give the Alabama running game some balance this afternoon. He had nine carries for 89 yards, averaging a staggering 9.9 yards per carry on the ground.
