The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry will be on display in the SEC on November 12th, as the Georgia Bulldogs (5-4) will host their cross-divisional rivals, the No. 8 Auburn Tigers (7-2). Georgia has three games left to get to bowl eligibility, all at home: Auburn, Louisiana-Lafayette and in-state nemesis Georgia Tech. The Bulldogs have not been a consistent bunch to say the very least this season. They’ll have a tough match-up on Saturday in Auburn, but at least they have a chance being that it is in Athens.

Auburn has College Football Playoff aspirations this season. The Tigers are the No. 8 team in the country. Should the Tigers win out, they probably get in as a top-four seed in the nation. The problem is that Auburn has not played well in Athens recently (1-5 in its last six games on the road vs. Georgia) and archrival Alabama is the best team in the country. We still have to see how the 2016 Iron Bowl shakes out.

Georgia probably won’t win this game. The Bulldogs might even get boat raced if they can’t stop the vaunted Auburn ground game. However, the Bulldogs have nothing to lose in this major rivalry game. Auburn should win, but don’t be shocked if Georgia covers or even upsets the Tigers in Athens on Saturday afternoon.
