James Washington left little doubt on this awesome 82-yard scoring reception against Texas Tech

Generally in the sport of football, when you’re backed up on your own 18-yard line, things aren’t exactly looking optimistic. However, sometimes you have everything you need to get out of the predicament that you’re in.

Here’s a good example of what you might need to not feel so bad about being in that situation:

  1. Have Mason Rudolph and James Washington on your team
  2. Be playing against the Texas Tech defense

How can we be so sure that this is a good recipe for success? Well, Oklahoma State proved that on Saturday.

As the Cowboys took on the Red Raiders, they were indeed backed up on their own 18-yard line, and of course, that was no problem for Rudolph and the speedster Washington as they hooked up for this 82-yard scoring play.

See! It works like a charm!

Washington is one of the best receivers in the country and that was on display here on Saturday against Texas Tech. Sure, it’s easy to beat up on the Red Raiders defense because, well, they are pretty god-awful on that side of the ball and have been for quite some time. But that doesn’t make this play really any less impressive than it is.

Just another fine example on Saturday of some good Big 12 football in action. We knew coming into this week that Oklahoma State and Texas Tech would deliver with the goods and they’re certainly doing that with this shootout.
