The Tennessee Titans bounced between horrible and impressive in their showdown against the Packers, with DeMarco Murray looking great.

DeMaro Murray was hoping to stick it to the Dallas Cowboys when he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles a year ago. Who would have guessed that his career resurgence would happen in Nashville with the Titans. Murray was traded to Tennessee this offseason and has proceeded to turn in a bounce back year in impressive fashion.

Not all is swell in Tennessee, though. Mike Mularkey’s team started off Sunday with an onside kick attempt — one that failed miserably. That looked like it could set the tone for the game, one that the Packers desperately need to win.

Murray made up for the horrible onside kick attempt by the Titans with a 75-yard touchdown run. It wasn’t just that he torched the Packers miserable defense, but Murray ha established himself as a top back in the league once again.

This is the DeMarco Murray that the Eagles wanted to see but were never able to cultivate. He has the skills to be a top running back in the league, but needed to be in the right situation. That wasn’t a hard thing to create, as the Titans aren’t really the most ideal contender in the league –if one at all. but Murray makes their offense dynamic and it gives Titan fans hope that the team is just around the corner from being a real threat in the AFC.
