ESPN has decided to take College GameDay to Kalamazoo, Michigan for the undefeated Western Michigan Broncos’ home game against the Buffalo Bulls in Week 12.

College GameDay will be in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Saturday, Nov. 19 to take in the undefeated Western Michigan Broncos as they take on the Buffalo Bulls in the MAC. Western Michigan is the only other undefeated team in Division I football not named the Alabama Crimson Tide.

It’s a good call for ESPN to make the trek to Kalamazoo, as when will College GameDay ever go there again? The Broncos are the runaway favorites to get the Group of 5 New Year’s Six bowl bid this season.

Western Michigan is 10-0 with two more MAC games against Buffalo and the Toledo Rockets. Should Western Michigan go a perfect 13-0 after the MAC Championship game, the Broncos will be playing in presumably the Cotton Bowl in Arlington as the Group of 5 winner.

The Broncos have been a solid mid-major team in 2016 thanks to head coach P.J. Fleck and star wide receiver Corey Davis. Fleck has emerged as a top-tier head coaching candidate that could land a lucrative Power 5 gig if he decides to leave Kalamazoo at the end of the year.

Davis has promising NFL talent as a wide receiver. He will likely go in the mid-to-late first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He may not win the Fred Biletnikoff Award over Oklahoma’s Dede Westbrook or Washington’s John Ross, but Davis has the potential to be an All-American for Western Michigan.

College GameDay is going to learn a thing or two about what it means to row the boat. Western Michigan has earned the right be a GameDay host city in 2016. It’s pretty cool that the Broncos get to enjoy this one of a kind college pre-game show.
