The Twitter account of the North Dakota State Bison decided to troll the Michigan Wolverines after they lost to Iowa on the road.

Chaos reigned supreme in college football on Saturday. The Clemson Tigers, Michigan Wolverines and Washington Huskies all dropped games and now the playoff committee has to solve a giant mess before they unveil the next big ranking. Of course, the Iowa Hawkeyes kicking a field goal to defeat Michigan as time expired was the most talked about win all night. With the loss on the road came a little trolling.

After the Wolverines lost on Saturday, the North Dakota State Bison decided to troll Michigan. The Bison defeated Iowa on the road earlier in the year and their Twitter account posted a photo of the visiting locker room left in tact. This of course is a knock at Michigan deciding to redecorate Iowa’s locker room before the game and sparking some fury online from a lot of people.

In terms of trolling, this is quality by the Bison. Seeing the small school that dominates take a friendly shot at a playoff contender is always a good time. It’s also a reminder of just how weird college football can be sometimes.

If someone had said at the beginning of the year that Iowa would lose at home to North Dakota State but beat Michigan, you would probably think that person is crazy. However, that’s the reality of the situation and now the Wolverines have opened themselves up to some trolling. It should be expected after their pre-game antics, but that’s what makes sports fun.

Who knows, maybe the Wolverines will fire a shot across the bow one day to get back at the Bison? Social media has created for a new element of sports that just can’t be topped.
