Another loss by the Green Bay Packers could signal the end of the Mike McCarthy era in ‘Titletown’.

The Green Bay Packers fell for the third straight week, this time to the Tennessee Titans. The 47-25 setback at Nashville saw Mike Mularkey’s team exploit Dom Capers defense for 446 total yards. It marked the third straight contest and fourth time in five games that the Pack had given up 30 or more points.

Tennessee opened up a 35-10 second-quarter lead and held off Aaron Rodgers and company the rest of the way. The Titans raised their record to 5-5, equaling their victory total of the previous two seasons combined.

Green Bay fell one full game behind the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings in the wide-open NFC North. There’s going to be a lot of soul searching going on in the Land of Cheese this week.

Three Stars

1. Marcus Mariota

The second-year signal-caller enjoyed another solid performance and remains one of the hotter quarterbacks in the league. Mariota finished with 295 yards through the air and four scores. The improving pro totaled at least two touchdown tosses for the sixth straight game and the eighth time in 10 outings in 2016.

2. DeMarco Murray

The first time the dynamic offensive weapon touched the ball on Sunday, he broke down the left side of the field for a 75-yard score. He would finish the afternoon 123 yards rushing on 16 carries and that aforementioned touchdown. He also hauled in two passes for 33 yards. And for good measure, Murray threw a 10-yard scoring pass to tight end Delanie Walker in the first quarter.

3. Aaron Rodgers

You can only do so much when your team gives up as many yards and points as did the Packers did on Sunday. The prolific signal-caller threw for 371 yards and two touchdowns by completing 31-of-51 passes. He was also picked off twice and sacked five times. But Rodgers also ran three times on the afternoon, one of those jaunts 20 yards for a score during Green Bay’s attempt at a comeback.
