Rams at Jets: How to watch online
By Matt Kerns
The New York Jets and Los Angeles Rams meet Sunday at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford as both teams will try and turn their seasons around.
I’m not sure what one could say to start the year on the Rams. It’s not that they have been terrible under Jeff Fisher’s time with the Rams, but they have been inconsistent. They’ve struggled to win games outside of their division and lack discipline. But this year, they were supposed to contend. Two teams who were expected to
One thing these two teams aren’t doing is contending. The Rams are 3-5 and currently third in the NFC West standings. The Jets are 3-6 and in fourth place in the AFC East. Right now, nothing is going right for either one of these clubs. LA drafted Jared Goff as the first overall player in this years draft but he hasn’t seen the field yet. Ryan Fitzpatrick for the Jets has played like the worst QB in the league yet Todd Bowles won’t make a change.
The Rams and Jets could both benefit from a big mixup. Fisher is hesitant to start Goff because he made the decision to insert former Heisman trophy winner Vince Young in right away, and that got him fired from Tennessee. As of now, Fisher has support of management so there’s no reason for him to even think about starting Goff.
As for Bowles, well, they have nothing to lose. Bryce Petty needs to be starting on this team as Fitz has played himself out of New York. There’s no sense in losing games with Fitzpatrick who won’t be with the team next year and very well could be out of football entirely. The Jets need to win or lose with Petty and the helm so at the very least they can analyze and grade what they have in him.

But, until they are officially eliminated from playoff contention, the Jets will ride it out with Fitz just as the Rams will with Case Keenum. No, it doesn’t make sense and yes it is confusing for both coaches to not let their young QB’s play. We’ll see what exactly unfolds in this one come Sunday.
