Kate Upton was furious online that boyfriend Justin Verlander lost the AL Cy Young award to Rick Porcello.

Whenever there’s two worthy recipients of a major award in sports, there will probably always be sour grapes after. With MLB naming their Cy Young award winners on Wednesday, the AL race was a close one between former teammates in Justin Verlander and Rick Porcello. While Verlander had the majority of first-place votes, Porcello edged him out and the new phenom for the Boston Red Sox won the award. Afterward, Kate Upton was not happy about her boyfriend losing via not being on a couple of ballots.

She took to Twitter and went on an epic rant. She also used plenty of cuss words and really went off on the fact that Verlander got the majority of first-place votes but did get placed on some ballots from writers.

Warning: NSFW language is included in the tweets so if you are offended by four-letter words, turn away now and just know Kate is very mad online.

It’s hard to blame her for being angry, as it was a bit of a confusing vote. It’s hard to imagine a scenario where Verlander wins the majority of the first-place votes yet doesn’t end up on some ballots at all.

It’s nothing new to voting on awards, but it’s certainly confusing. The Tigers’ ace finished with a 16-9 record with a whopping 254 strikeouts. After it looked like he was on the decline the last couple of seasons, he really picked it up this season and had his team in contention for a playoff spot until the very end.

He has won the Cy Young before, but a second one would have put him in an elite class. It’s clear that Upton and many others are not happy with how the voting process turned out. She just happened to use a different way of expressing her feelings.
