NFL Mock Draft: Deshaun Watson falling
By Brad Weiss
The Buffalo Bills are very thin on the offensive line, and adding a big offensive tackle is of the utmost importance next April. The Alabama Crimson Tide have a mountain entrenched as their starting left tackle, which is a stop of need for the Bills. If they decide to go with a tackle in the first round, expect Cam Robinson to be the first one off of the board.
Robinson has the size and strength to play at the next level, and has made a career in college making defensive lineman look like rag dolls. He has played on both sides of the line during his career, and may actually start out as a right tackle early on. However, he is the prototypical left tackle, and should be protecting Tyrod Taylor’s blindside sooner than later.
Buffalo is not far off in terms of being able to challenge for a playoff spot, but they play in one of the hardest divisions in football to win. Adding a piece like Robinson would do wonders for an offensive line that struggles to protect the quarterback on a weekly basis. Robinson would also be key in run blocking for LeSean McCoy, who is still one of the better running backs in the AFC.
