A look at how to watch Thursday’s college basketball game between Xavier and Missouri.

On Thursday afternoon, the Xavier Musketeers and Missouri Tigers will go to battle in a nonconference match-up. This is taking place at the HP Field House in Kissimmee, FL.

Xavier is coming off of two wins to open the season. The Musketeers first beat the Lehigh Mountain Hawks (the school of Portland Trail Blazers star CJ McCollum), 84-81. Edmund Summer and Trevon Bluiett each led the way with 24 and 25 points, respectively, accounting for over half the team’s points. The second one saw the Musketeers beat Buffalo, 86-53. This time around, J.P. Macura led the way by scoring with 18 points, so they have received decent contributions early on.

This has led Xavier to the No. 11 ranking in college basketball. A win would send them into an interesting nonconference schedule with Northern Iowa, North Dakota State and Baylor in their rearview mirror.

Missouri heads into this game at 1-0. They are coming off a crushing victory over the Alabama A&M Bulldogs, 99-44, but won’t have anywhere close to an easy test on Thursday. Continued production from the likes of Frankie Hughes, a freshman guard, will be needed. He had 23 points on 64-percent shooting in his Tigers debut.

If Missouri can get by this game, they will move onto Miami-Ohio. However, No. 10 Arizona will be next and be their second ranked opponent of the season. This could leave the school at 2-2 early in the year, so Thursday night may be a big one for the Tigers.
