With bowl season around the corner, Week 12 of the college football season offers plenty of big games with huge implications.

Week 12 of the college football season has arrived. Bowl season is almost here and there are just a few weeks remaining until conference championship games start. That means teams have no margin for error this point forward and have to play their best football. There are some big games in Week 12 with plenty of implications. Let’s take a look at them.

5. Stanford vs. Cal

While neither of these two teams are at their best, this is always a huge game when they take the field against each other. It’s going to be two teams that don’t like each other looking to pull bragging rights over the other. With the unpredictability of both schools this year, this has potential to be a great game.

4. Ohio State vs. Michigan State

While Michigan State is struggling this season, this is a rematch of a big game last year. The Spartans eliminated the Ohio State Buckeyes from making the playoff last year with a win and will try to play the role of spoilers this year. Ohio State will look to avenge their loss.

3. Oklahoma vs. West Virginia

The Big 12 isn’t out of the playoff race yet. With the College Football Playoff being plunged into chaos last week, Oklahoma and West Virginia have a golden opportunity on Saturday. The winner will likely put themselves on the door step just waiting for a team in front of them to fall.

2. Florida vs. LSU

In a game that is being made up after Hurricane Matthew, Florida and LSU is a big game for both teams. The Tigers can continue to rise in the rankings and potentially push toward a New Year’s Six bowl, while the Gators are trying to clinch the SEC East. The winner gains a big advantage on Saturday.

1. Washington State vs. Colorado

It’s amazing how far both the Washington State Cougars and Colorado Buffaloes have come this year. At the beginning of the year, it’s likely no one would expect these two teams to be playing a meaningful football game against each other in Week 12. Both schools want to win their respective divisions. It’s all on the line in Boulder on Saturday.
