College Football Playoff: Week 12 chaos scenarios
3. Oklahoma blows out West Virginia
The Big 12 is not out of the playoff conversation at all. With Louisville having already fallen, there’s a great chance that the winner of Oklahoma and West Virginia puts themselves on the doorstep of making it in this week.
Even though the Sooners have two losses on the season already, we’re at a point where two-loss teams are going to be considered and one of them could potentially make it in if chaos continues to unfold.
What would really make things tough on the committee is if more teams in the top four lose and Oklahoma puts a beating on West Virginia. A blowout would really resonate with the committee that the Sooners are playing their best ball of the season and they could force their way back in.
This game between the two Big 12 schools will be the biggest of the season and it should be a classic. If it’s lopsided, it could go a long way in Oklahoma’s favor and forcing the committee’s hand on making the tough decision.
