3. Steve Addazio

With two games remaining on the season, the Boston College Eagles have to win out to become bowl eligible. With just one conference win over the last two seasons, that seems all but impossible to turn one into three at this point.

After getting pummeled by Florida State, Steve Addazio probably sealed his fate as head coach of the Eagles. This team hasn’t gotten better and they’re in the same spot as they were last year when they struggled mightily.

On Saturday, the Eagles will host a struggling Connecticut team. If Addazio can’t get a win at home over the Huskies, then he’s likely gone and the Eagles will look in a different direction for the next head coach of their team.

If he’s able to beat them, then he goes into the final week with a chance to make a bowl game. That’s a much different narrative than the one going around and it looks a lot better for him. He might be able to persuade his way into keeping his job at 5-7, but 4-8 won’t cut it.
